What is MyGig?
MyGig is Australia's AI-powered Workforce-as-a-Service platform and Employer of Record. Businesses post shifts and book vetted casual workers; we handle recruitment, onboarding, time and attendance, award interpretation, payroll, and compliance in one system.
Who employs the workers?
MyGig does. As the Employer of Record, we employ workers on your behalf and take full responsibility for payroll, superannuation, workers compensation, insurance, and compliance with Australia's labour laws and Fair Work awards. You get one invoice.
What does it cost?
There are no costs to get started and no monthly fees. You pay the wages (award rates plus on-costs like super, workers comp, and payroll tax) and one flat 15% MyGig service fee. The full cost estimate is shown when you create a shift, before you book.
How are workers vetted?
Every worker builds a verified profile with 30+ data points: identity and right to work, work history, skill quizzes, professional references, and valid certifications like RSA, White Card, and forklift licences. Ratings from every completed shift keep the bar high.
How much do workers get paid, and when?
Workers are paid award rates for their position and classification under the relevant Modern Award, with casual loading and penalties on top. The total for each shift is shown before accepting, and pay lands the day after the shift with 12% super on top.
Is MyGig licensed to operate?
Yes. MyGig is fully compliant and authorised to operate as an Employer of Record in NSW, WA, TAS, and NT, and operates under labour hire licensing. QLD and VIC are coming in 2027.
Which industries does MyGig cover?
Warehousing and 3PL, logistics, retail, events, and hospitality are our deepest pools, with construction, cleaning, agriculture, and mining also live. Our current focus is NSW.
Can I use MyGig with casuals I already have?
Yes. Invite your existing casual workers onto MyGig and keep working with them: we become the Employer of Record and take on payroll, super, workers comp, and award compliance for the people you already trust.
How is MyGig different from HR platforms that offer EOR or on-demand hiring?
MyGig is purpose-built for shift work, not workforce transitions. We operate under labour hire licensing where supplying on-hire casuals requires it, workers get free daily payroll with 12% super (not a fee-charging wage advance), and pricing is a flat 15% with the estimate shown before you book: no sales call, no user minimums, live from your first shift.
